25.11.2021 Recruiting: How Sinnwell masters modern job placement
This is how company recruiting has changed in recent years.
Sinnwell employee Annette Liekfeld has experienced this transformation firsthand. For over 30 years, she has observed the development: from the traditional application folder to automated online recruiting. In the following interview, she describes how the working world has changed and what Sinnwell does to find qualified employees.
What is an industry-specific challenge?
A particular challenge at Sinnwell is identifying and approaching specialists in technical professions, especially in mobile communications. Experienced professionals in areas such as microwave radio planning or mobile network construction management are in high demand in the market, and it can sometimes take a very long time before a suitable specialist is found and also joins us.
Where did you gain recruiting experience before your time at Sinnwell?
My two main areas of activity in recruiting were my roles at a very well-known car rental company and at an IT staffing provider. At the car rental company, I worked for 19 years as a branch manager at Düsseldorf Airport. There, I was responsible for up to 40 employees. In addition to day-to-day operations, I also supported the entire personnel selection process for the region.
Later, I worked as a department head at a nationwide personnel service provider responsible for placing IT specialists. Here, I had my first contact with mobile communications and managed the client Vodafone in Düsseldorf as a key account.

How does Sinnwell handle modern challenges in recruiting?
It proves to be particularly difficult to attract good and suitable employees in a timely manner and thus be a reliable partner for our clients. However, with a well-functioning team – like the one we have at Sinnwell – this can be achieved successfully. Thanks to short decision-making paths and quick communication alone, we act in a very focused way. This allows us to make decisions immediately and present a candidate with a contract offer right away.
Is there a referral bonus in recruiting at Sinnwell?
If a candidate for a permanent position is recommended by someone from within our team and is successfully placed, the referrer receives a bonus. So “Recommend A Friend” is worthwhile – for everyone involved.
